🏆 Our Top Pick
Legend

At roughly the same money, the Legend just shades the Equinox 600 for us. You get deeper submersibility (5m versus 3m), more selectable single frequencies and a machine that’s a real pleasure to customise once you’ve found your feet. The 600 fights back with Minelab’s enormous community and slightly friendlier menus. Both are brilliant ‘first proper machine’ choices, but pound for pound the Legend hands you a little more detector for the money.
