Teknetics Metal Detectors
Teknetics are the performance arm of the First Texas family. Where Bounty Hunter keeps things cheap and simple, Teknetics has always chased the hottest performance of its day, and the T2 in particular earned a reputation that still stands.
About Teknetics
Teknetics was founded in 1983 and quickly built a name for high-performance machines. It joined First Texas Products in 1989, sitting alongside Fisher and Bounty Hunter. In the early 2000s the company set out to redefine the performance standard and produced the T2, a fast, deep, lightweight detector that became a relic and gold-hunting favourite, even making its name in the African gold fields. A T2 Classic reissue followed in 2016.
